Integrating Internet Activities for "Globalization"
Objective: Students get acquainted with "globalization" through relating the term to their everyday life..

Procedure:
1. Teacher will translate the story of Lizzie's Morning into german.
2. Students will read the story.
3. Students will  locate the countries listed in the text using outline maps ofthe world
4. Students use the internet to state 3 products theses countries are known for.
5. Students will print out pictures of these products.
6. Students state if they see any of these products in the Egyptian stores.
7. Ask student what types of Egyptian products  they thhink can be  found in the stores of these countries.
8. In the light of these facts, students try to define globalization..
9. Students think of objects they deal with in their everyday life that they can relate to globalization..
10. Students use the internet to see where in the world these ojbects are also used.
11. Teacher gives an example to explain  Nr. 10: If students mention Starbucks, they go to the homepage of Starbucks to see in which other countries Starbucks is available
12. Students will keep a "globalization journal" for one week by using www.blogger.com . In their blog they will blog about any evidence of globalization they experience during this week. Students should comment two blog of different students every day.
